Pour la saison 2025-2026, le club d’Embourg Volleyball propose 6 \u00e9quipes adultes inscrites en comp\u00e9tition officielle: une Promotion messieurs, deux P2 messieurs, une P3 messieurs, une P2 dames et une P4 dames (2 P4 dames depuis janvier 2026).<\/p>\n
Nous avons aussi cr\u00e9\u00e9 cette ann\u00e9e une \u00e9quipe initiation gar\u00e7ons et deux \u00e9quipe initiation filles (13-18 ans).<\/p>\n
Une de ces \u00e9quipes initiation filles -18 ans est d’ailleurs inscrite en championnat depuis janvier 2026 !<\/p>\n

La saison prochaine (2026-2027) sera marqu\u00e9e par l’inscription de ces \u00e9quipes jeunes en championnat, ainsi que l’organisation de plusieurs \u00e9v\u00e9nements ayant pour but de rendre le volley plus accessible et connu.<\/p>\n
En effet, nous marquerons les 50 ans du club avec l’organisation de plusieurs tournois (de pr\u00e9paration, ‘fun’) d’activit\u00e9s, et de stages formateurs.<\/p>\n

Embourg Volleyball est en plein d\u00e9veloppement de ses activit\u00e9s, et a pour objectif de, par la formation des jeunes et son ambiance familiale, rendre le volley accessible \u00e0 toutes et \u00e0 tous.<\/p>\n
L\u2019objectif moyen terme est d\u2019\u00eatre un club de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence en Province de Li\u00e8ge pour la formation des jeunes et le d\u00e9veloppement des talents !<\/p>\n

Un peu d’histoire..<\/p>\n

The door is open to all the clubs that would like to share their history, so we may appreciate them better today.<\/p>\n Embourg, just like Seraing, wrote the best pages of volleyball in our province. Why talk about it today?<\/p>\n Simply because one of the actors of that fantastic odyssey we are going to relive here moved to Canada 13 years ago, at the end of the Beautiful Story. His name: FUFU, a.k.a. Marc Furn\u00e9mont, the brother of the other fufu, the one who is making us suffer in the local press (not for long, unfortunately). FUFU arrived at the volleyball club in 76, when St. Bar relocated to Embourg and changed its name.<\/p>\n The Odyssey<\/strong> In 78, they finish 2nd behind the great team of Valcapri\u2026<\/p>\n In 79, Embourg are Provincial Champions and runners-up in the Provincial Cup. They climb to National 4.<\/p>\n In 80, Embourg finish second in N4 with players like Fox, Pairiot, Praillet, Gonze, Lejeune et Peters.<\/p>\n In 81, they are champions of the same N4 and again runners-up of the Provincial Cup with Vanspauwen, Bruwier and Gras, three other great names of Li\u00e8ge volleyball, and move up to N3.<\/p>\n In 82, the great Embourg team finishes 5th in N3. This the last season for Ren\u00e9 Pairiot as coach, before the arrival of Robert Devries (father of Anne Devries, the tennis player) and of Roger Schoonbroodt, a very talented player from Welkenraedt. This is also the season when FUFU leaves for Canada\u2026<\/p>\n His departure does not derail the formidable climb of his team, champions of N3 in 83, finally winners of the Provincial Cup, and who rocket to N1 after purchasing the franchise rights of Seraing, the other volleyball giant.<\/p>\n This is when Hanozet is playing in Embourg \u2026 as an attacker. Pierre Derbaix, is at centre, and Jean-Pierre Colin is there as well \u2026 along with many others who are less remembered, mainly because they did not pursue their career as volleyball players or coaches.
